Bring Me The Horizon

Bring Me The Horizon are a British metalcore band from Sheffield formed in 2004.  Their style of music has developed from a very deathcore style to more electronic style of metal.

Lead vocalist Oli Sykes owns his own clothing line Drop Dead, which has had a massive success and has built up the bands fan base even more. The band will often feature Drop Dead clothing in their music videos and when they perform.

Fabian Röttger – A Nice Idea Every Day

Fabian Röttger was the director for the Shadow Moses and Sleepwalking video. He makes really arty, indie videos. the video was shot with a “camera – shift technique” that gives the viewer a 3D like experience without the need of special screen or glasses.

Blessed with a Curse

•Band perfoming in a plain setting surrounded by weird things - shows the

•Camera angle keeps going upside down and cutting parts out

•Girl sat alone

•The shot of the band performing and the shot of herself in black rips and its show the girl had just ripped up a photo

Differences

•the blessed with a curse video was filmed on a set in a studio whereas the other two are filmed at places.

•The sleepwalking video doesn’t have many effects and transitions whereas the other two do.

•Dark warehouse setting and then out onto deserted streets

•The band are performing in the same setting

•The creatures seem to be everywhere and he cant escape

•Moving camera journal suits the name of the song "Travellers Chant"

•Fairly slow moving video goes with the mellow tone of the song

•Rizzle kicks sat in the back of a car “last week I was a passenger in a car seat”

•When in the car the windows show bright lights moving around like they are travelling, the singers are in their own little world. Goes with the lyrics " yeah the other day I was sitting on the train but in another place"
•The video is a bit of a mismatch goes with the lyrics “do I start at the end or do I end at the start”

•Always travelling throughout the video – even at home there is a projection on the wall

Ideas for the music video

•Powerful female walking down a rugged american street dressed in kind of punky/grungey clothes.

•Male comes and joins her

•Their facial expressions should look like they're out to get someone

•People on the street looking at them in shame

•The transitions are very flashy and quick

•The woman lip sinks parts of the song

•Story line that they hate their town go round showing that (destroying places)

•They burn their possessions from the place

•Jump into a vintage red ferrari and drive off into the open road
